Miriam Frey studied "International Economics with a specialization on Central and Eastern Europe" at the University of Regensburg and at the Metschnikow University of Odessa (Ukraine). Beside the emphasis on economics, an extensive education in Russian language and courses in law were also part of this interdisciplinary study. In the context of her diploma thesis Ms. Frey dealt with the topic "The development of trade policy in Eastern Europe: The Case of Russia". During her internships at the RSU Rating Service Unit Munich, at the European Institute in Washington, DC and in the European Parliament in Brussels she gained first practical experience.
Since February 2009 Ms. Frey has worked at the Department of Economics, Migration and Integration. She is a Ph.D. student at the University of Regensburg. Her research focuses on international economics.
