The aim of the project is to investigate the influence of politics on religion in Ukraine and the role of the Catholic Churches during World War II.
One of the main topics is the investigation of religious and national elements during the time of the Nazi occupation. A further topic is the analysis of the chances and obstacles religious communities were confronted with during the occupation, which led to the preservation of the national identity of the believers.
