Summer Academy 2010
From 14 to 16 of July 2010 the Second Joint OEI/APB Summer Academy on Central and Eastern Europe took place. The topic was "Openness and Growth. Lessons for Transition and Development." Besides the keynote lectures by Philipp Harms, Enzo Weber and Richard Frensch PhD students and post-docs presented their research projects. Topics included “The Penn Effect and Transition: The New EU Member States in International Perspective“, “Output volatility: Analysis of the role of exchange-rate regime with panel data“ and “The role of banks in the monetary transmission in a small open transition economy with a fixed exchange rate regime - the case of Macedonia.“
